General Meeting Program Tuesday 11th December 2018

Story Telling with Santa and Mrs. Claus.

Our December meeting this year will be a time for you to tell us a story about a Christmas

your in your life.

Some basic rules:

Your story must be true.

It must be your story to tell.

It must be on time.  4 - 5 minutes

Anyone wishing to tell their story should email me at jkon50@gmail.com.

I will prepare a list. I will send you an email when I’ve reached my quota.

Toys for Tots. If you can bring along a child's toy - mixed genders please; we

will present these to our visiting marine who comes to collect the toys

for children who are less fortunate than us.

Raffle

We will be raffling several lovely baskets of goodies that are donated by the board.

I hope you enjoy the evening. Please drop in, either to tell your story or to listen to

a story. Enjoy some nibbles with us after the storytelling, mingle with your friends.

Kind regards,

Round Tables Critique Sessions began at 5:15 pm

Terry Sanville and Susan Tuttle will be here to critique your work

Please keep your submission to two pages, typed, 12-point font, double spaced. This is a great—and safe—way to see what the critiquing process is all about, get valuable feedback from two fantastic writers, and practice reading your work to a small audience.

Please bring 3 copies of your work, one to read from and one each for Susan and Terry.

Please Note: Rosie is taking  leave for a couple of months. I am organizing someone to fill in for Rosie while she's away.  Please bring your work as usual. We don't want you to miss out.

"The flavor of my group will be a safe and supportive facilitator led critique group comprised of peers with relatively equal footing and comparable expertise, where participants can practice their constructive critique skills as well as get feedback on their own writing. Submissions will be 2 x pages, double spaced, font size 12 and will be read by another person in order to see how the writing holds up on its own." Guidlines will be explained at the start of the group.
