Webmaster's Note: There are two distinct website links listed at the end of the following letter from Aubrie Koenig. Both are sure to be of interest to some of our members. Still, keep in mind that the History Press West link highlights books about the western USA.
As well, feel free to review the History Press Brochure by clicking HERE.

Dear SLO NightWriters,
Greetings! I’m a Commissioning Editor with The History Press, a traditional publishing company dedicated to preserving and enriching community history.
History Press books are written by local authors who bring a unique perspective to the past that shaped their community’s identity. We publish books on a variety of local history topics, including the story of a neighborhood or landmark, tales of a city’s haunted or criminal past, and profiles of local foodways or sports culture.
Our California titles include Del Mar: Where the Turf Meets the Surf by Hank Wesch, A Brief History of Orange, California: The Plaza City by Phil Brigandi, The Way We Were in San Diego by Richard W. Crawford, and Tustin As It Once Was by Juanita Lovret.
We’re excited to continue building our list here in California, and I’m currently seeking book proposals for 2012. I invite anyone interested in publishing opportunities with The History Press to visit our website, or contact me directly for more information.
Warm Regards,
Aubrie Koenig
