Central Coast Writers Conference 2010 (14)

Created on: Sunday, March 27, 2011
Each year, SLO NightWriters is proud to be one of the sponsors of The Central Coast Writers' Conference held at Cuesta College in San Luis Obispo. The conference was founded in 1984 and has since that time become one of the most popular such gatherings in California.

The 26th Annual Central Coast Writers' Conference was held on Friday and Saturday, September 17th and 18th, 2010. The conference featured workshops to guide writers towards improved writing skills, genre development, editing and publishing opportunities and networking with other writers. Workshop settings were intimate. The conference featured nationally notable writers and teachers to guide the maximum 300 attendees. A Teen Writers' Program was developed to allow teens to develop their writing skills and follow their writing career dreams.

Keynote speaker was Nathan Bransford, author and one-time agent with Curtis Brown Ltd.

Our very own Judy Salamacha, SLO NightWriters board member and local newspaper columnist, is Director of The Central Coast Writers' Conference.

Be sure to click on this website's menu item, CC Writers' Conference, for a sneak preview of this coming September's edition of the conference. From there you can add your name and contact information to the conference mailing list, should you want to be informed of early bird registration dates and other program announcements.
