DESCRIPTION:Guest speakers: \n     George Yatchisin is Santa Barbara Poet Laureate\, 2025-2027\, and the author of Feast Days (Flutter Press 2016) and The First Night We Thought the World Would End (Brandenburg Press 2019). His poems have been published in journals including Antioch Review\, Askew\, and Zocalo Public Square. He is co-editor of the anthology Rare Feathers: Poems on Birds & Art (Gunpowder Press 2015)\, and his poetry appears in anthologies including Reel Verse: Poems About the Movies (Everyman’s Library 2019).\n\n     Chryss Yost is the co-editor of Gunpowder Press\, which was launched during her tenure as Santa Barbara Poet Laureate\, a post she held from 2013-2015. Chryss is the author of Mouth & Fruit and has helped to edit dozens of anthologies\, most recently Women in a Golden State: California Poets at 60 and Beyond. A San Diego native and lifelong Californian\, she has a Ph.D. in Education from UCSB.\n\nRefreshments provided. We will see you there!
