Editing 101: How to Know When You’re Ready for an Editor
Dayna Bennett is an editor, writer, and educator who has served on the advisory board for the Central Coast Writers Conference, where she taught workshops for beginning writers.
Her articles, short stories and essays have been published in online journals and local press.
She shares thought pieces and personal essays on her blog allthatisnext.com and has dabbled in poetry on her Instagram page: Tiny Notes by DB.
As an editor, Dayna has helped writers of all backgrounds polish their prose and develop their stories for publication. Dayna’s first novel, A Light Left Behind, is a contemporary romance with hints of the supernatural.
Dayna lives on the Central Coast with her two kids, two dogs, and one furious cat. She believes in the power of storytelling and will always be an optimist at heart.

Round Tables Critique Sessions begin at 5:15 pm
Terry Sanville and Mark Arnold will be here to critique your work
Please keep your submission to two pages, typed, 12-point font, double spaced. This is a great—and safe—way to see what the critiquing process is all about, get valuable feedback from two fantastic writers, and practice reading your work to a small audience.
This is an opportunity to get feedback on your work in progress and practice your constructive critiquing skills. It is also a great way to get to know other writers in our group. You do not have to bring along work to participate. Please keep submissions to double-spaced, 12 font, two pages.
All pages submitted should be Word files (.doc or .docx). Word files are easier to review and critique and are the industry standard for submissions.
While potential new members wanting to see our Round Table Critique Group are welcome free of charge. Any further attendance will have a fee of $5.00 for non-members.
Please email your submissions to Terry and Mark ahead of time:
Terry: tsanville@sbcglobal.net
Mark: markarnoldphd@gmail.com
