Dayna Bennett is an editor, writer, and educator who has served on the advisory board for the Central Coast Writers Conference, where she taught workshops for beginning writers. She serves on the National Board of the Women's National Book Association and edits for Writer's Digest Second Draft. Her articles, short stories and essays have been published in online journals, such as Sweatpants and Coffee, in local press, and she shares thought pieces and personal essays on her blog AllThatIsNext.com. As an editor, Dayna has helped writers of all backgrounds polish their prose and develop their stories for publication. Dayna’s forthcoming novel, A Light Left Behind, is a contemporary romance with hints of the supernatural. Dayna lives on the Central Coast with her two kids, two dogs, and one furious cat. Please keep your submission to two pages, typed, 12-point font, double spaced. This is a great—and safe—way to see what the critiquing process is all about, get valuable feedback from two fantastic writers, and practice reading your work to a small audience.
This is an opportunity to get feedback on your work in progress and practice your constructive critiquing skills. It is also a great way to get to know other writers in our group. You do not have to bring along work to participate. Please keep submissions to double-spaced, 12 font, two pages.
