For the Love of Writing
Through their entertaining and educational “He Said, She Said” talk on what it means to be a writer, Wendelin Van Draanen and Mark Parsons will give insights and practical tips on how to maintain and increase your commitment to the craft of writing, sharing their wisdoms from over twenty years of working side-by-side in the publishing trenches.
The pair will discuss what it means (and takes) to be a successful writer, share craft strategies such as considering global structure, avoiding the sagging middle and sticking the landing, and give a realistic peek behind the curtain of traditional publishing. Bring your questions!

Please keep your submission to two pages, typed, 12-point font, double spaced. This is a great—and safe—way to see what the critiquing process is all about, get valuable feedback from two fantastic writers, and practice reading your work to a small audience.
This is an opportunity to get feedback on your work in progress and practice your constructive critiquing skills. It is also a great way to get to know other writers in our group. You do not have to bring along work to participate. Please keep submissions to double-spaced, 12 font, two pages.
