Festive December General Meeting invite
Dear Fellow Members of SLO NightWriters,
As the holiday season approaches, I am thrilled to extend a warm invitation to each of you for our December General Meeting. This year, we're excited about enjoying our special guest speaker, Dayna Bennett, and we eagerly anticipate our annual storytelling session – a season highlight!
Sharing Our Diverse Tales: This is your moment to shine! We encourage you to share a true story from your life, reflecting the rich tapestry of experiences we each bring to our community. Whether it's a tale of triumph, a lesson learned, or a memorable moment, your story is essential. Please keep your storytelling to a duration of between five and ten minutes, allowing everyone a chance to participate.
Reserve Your Spot To ensure a smooth and inclusive event, kindly let me know if you wish to speak so I can allocate you a spot. Your voice matters, and we want to hear it!
Adding a sprinkle of fun, Mary Silberstein and I will don the Santa hats this year. We'll keep an eye out to see who's been naughty or nice – though I strongly feel that 'nice' will be the overwhelming trend among our wonderful members!
Inclusivity and Respect:
As we gather together, we celebrate the joy of writing and the diverse backgrounds and traditions that each of us represents.
Whether you celebrate the holidays or not, we honor and respect your unique perspective and heritage.
I look forward to seeing you all at the meeting. Here's to a season filled with joy, inspiration, and the warmth of our shared love for storytelling. We wish you all the best for the holidays from wherever you hail.
