Central Coast Book & Author Festival 2011!

On Sunday, September 18, 2011, authors from far and wide will gather to present their works in the Mission Plaza in San Luis Obispo. This 12th annual event is hosted by the Foundation for San Luis Obispo County Public Libraries, an organization that serves the public library system in our county. The annual festival, a fund-raising event for the Foundation, helps to promote literacy, reading, and participation in library activities.

In addition to the tables where authors will display, sell and autograph their books, the 12th Annual Central Coast Book and Author Festival features a number of authors, agents and publishers who will be participating in public presentations, readings, and panel discussions.

Sunday's festivities begin with an optional Pancake BookFeast, 9:00 - 11:00 am in Mission Plaza, ($3.00/Children under 12 FREE).

A second optional event, the Zombie Parade, begins on Sunday at 11 am.
Meet at the corner of Palm and Broad Streets, across from Mission College Prep to join the Zombie Parade. Come in Zombie costume -- Zombie Etiquette Required! Sign-up at your local San Luis Obispo County Library branch. Parade lasts 45 minutes, and is open to all Zombies!

Susan Tuttle, author of Tangled Webs (susant-creations.com),

Anne Schroeder, author of Ordinary Aphrodite (readanneschroeder.com),

Liu Yu, author, along with Dawn Cerf, of Awakening The Sleeping Tiger (wushutaichicenter.com),

and others! SLO NightWriters will have its own booth in the plaza!

Remember, as well, that the 27th annual Central Coast Writers' Conference will take place this same weekend, on Friday and Saturday, September 16th and 17th, at Cuesta College in San Luis Obispo.

We hope to see you at both events!
