Sara will be our very first guest at our very first Brown Bag Lunch Meeting. We'll briefly recap what Sara talked about at the meeting, for the benefit of those who weren't able to attend in person, and then do a deeper dive, followed by a Q&A, so there's something extra for those who were in attendance and want to learn more.

Sara is a writer, editor, teacher, and publishing professional. Sara’s memoir, Gumbo Tales: Finding My Place at the New Orleans Table, chronicles how she fell in love with New Orleans through its restaurants and food culture. She’s in her seventh year of teaching Composing Your Life Story classes through Cuesta College’s Emeritus program. Sara self-published a beginner’s guide to life story writing last year called How to Begin Writing Your Life Stories, and she’s in the revision phase of a more comprehensive book of tips and prompts for memoir and life story writers.
